Here’s Kat Ding (Georgia) on bars recently. Kat has great form, a huge tkatchev, and a very pretty pak salto! It’s hard to tell from this angle but the commentator says she stuck the dismount…personally it looks like her foot moves to me! Who knows….anyways, very nice routine for a 9.925! Kat is currently ranked #2 in the nation on bars, behind her teammate Lindsey Cheek, and ahead of her teammate Gina Nuccio. Yes, that’s right, that’s a Gymdog 1-2-3!

One of my favorite gymnasts to watch: Hollie Vise.
Here is a lovely bars routine by Hollie from all the way back in 2000, so Hollie would have been about 13. Off to a relatively inconspicuous start, Hollie busted out one of the highest Jaegers I have ever seen, then launched into an awesome series of pirouettes and a stuck double front dismount. Nice! I especially like the blind change-full pirouette combination, looks very cool with the obvious change of direction.
