Here’s Gabriela Dragoi on beam at the 2009 Romanian International. A very nice, steady routine. I really like her turns combination and the aerial-side somi connection!

Ana Porgras (ROU) is such a beautiful gymnast that she has thousands of photos of her that are as beautiful as this one is. I love them all! She is the epitome of elegance, plus quite a lot of difficulty in her routines too! I look forward to seeing what she puts together for the 2012 Olympics, and have my fingers crossed that she can avoid injuries!

I’m on a bit of a vault kick, I admit it. But at least I’m picking the ones with cool landings to show you! Here is the incredible Marian Dragulescu of Romania vaulting at the 2004 Olympics. The first vault is the one he innovated, a handspring double front half out, which he sticks! The second one is a very powerful Tsuk(?) 2 1/2 which he messes up the landing on, sadly. But it is incredible how Marian has managed to stay at the top in excellent condition for so long! Here’s hoping he’s at London 2012!

Via Gymnastics No Ceiling — Showbiz.ro did an interview with Andreea Raducan recently in which she talks about her weight, what she’s up to nowadays, as well as some talk about her dreams!

It is in Romanian. The Google translation is sort of dubious but not entirely un-worth looking at! Alternatively there are some better translations up on Gymnastics No Ceiling!

PS. If you click the title it will take you to the original interview on Showbiz.ro
